Press release from the City of Fort Wayne:

Mayor welcomes public to April 19 “Night In”
Residents encouraged to set appointments to talk with the Mayor

Reaffirming the “open door” spirit of his administration, Mayor Tom Henry has scheduled his second Mayor’s Night In of the year April 19, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the City-County Building.

Fort Wayne residents are invited to schedule an appointment to meet with the Mayor in his ninth-floor office to discuss their concerns and share their comments about City government or services.

“Every week I am privileged to be out in the community at events and activities,” said Mayor Henry. “But I am equally committed to keeping my door open to residents. I want to hear your ideas, learn about your neighborhood issues and brainstorm ways we can improve our All-America City. By working together, I know we can strengthen Fort Wayne and make it a place of pride and opportunity for all.”

Fort Wayne residents can call the Mayor’s Public Information Office at 427-1120 to schedule a 10-minute block of time that evening to talk with the Mayor and members of his staff.

Times will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Although walk-ins are welcome, appointments will ensure time with the Mayor. Anyone who has had a Mayor’s Night In or Mayor’s Night Out appointment in the last year will be placed on a waiting list to give other residents the opportunity to meet with Mayor Henry.

The Mayor has been holding these quarterly open houses since taking office. He has also taken these events on the road, hosting Mayor’s Nights Out at various locations around the city.
