…A DEEP LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OVER NEW YORK WILL WRAP AN AREA OF MODERATE SNOW ACROSS THE AREA LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE SNOW WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS THROUGH LATE EVENING…LEADING TO AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. THE SNOW AND WINDS WILL DIMINISH BY MIDNIGHT.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTHERN INDIANA HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW…WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EST THIS EVENING.
- TIMING…PERIODS OF LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW WILL DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE THROUGH MID EVENING BEFORE DIMINISHING.
- SNOW ACCUMULATIONS…2 TO 4 INCHES IS EXPECTED WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS UP TO 5 INCHES POSSIBLE EAST OF A HILLSDALE TO MARION LINE.
- OTHER IMPACTS…INITIALLY WET ROADS WILL FLASH FREEZE TOWARD SUNSET. AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO LESS THEN ONE QUARTER MILE AT TIMES.
