Skating Ponds Likely Closed for Season
Due to the warmer temperatures, the skating ponds at Lakeside, E. Swinney and Reservoir Parks have formed a layer of slush on top, making the ice unsafe. Given the current weather trend and the lateness of the winter season, all the Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation skating ponds will likely remain closed for the rest of the season. Red lights and flags are posted at the ponds to indicate that conditions are not safe.
