Single-Game, All-Star Tickets On Sale Feb. 23rd
MWL All-Star Game comes to Fort Wayne for first time since 1994
(February 17, 2010) The Fort Wayne TinCaps will put single-game tickets for the 2010 season on sale on Tuesday, Feburary 23 at 10 a.m. Highlighted events include Opening Day, a record 22 fireworks shows and Midwest League All-Star festivities, which come to Fort Wayne in June for the first time since 1994.
Fans can order tickets online at TinCaps.com, by phone at (260) 482-6400 or in person at the Parkview Field box office, located at the corner of Ewing and Brackenridge Streets in downtown Fort Wayne.
“This is one of the most exciting days of the year for us,” TinCaps president Mike Nutter said. “Last year when we first put our single-game tickets on sale, the response was fantastic and we’re prepared for that excitement to carry over into 2010.”
Single-game ticket prices for all regular-season games remain unchanged from the 2009 season, when the TinCaps set a franchise attendance record and won the Midwest League championship. “We’re bringing back a lot of the old favorites: Family Feast Mondays, Thirsty Thursdays, Myron Noodleman, the ZOOPerstars and of course the Bad Apple Dancers, plus we’ll try some new things in 2010,” Nutter said. “We know our fans appreciate the affordability and family atmosphere, so that’s what we focus on.”
A new addition to the schedule in 2010 is the Midwest League All-Star Game and surrounding festivities. A Home Run Derby and Skills Competition are set for Monday, June 21 at 7:05 p.m., and the All-Star Game is slated for Tuesday, June 22, at 7:05 p.m.
The Midwest League All-Star Game has served as a showcase for future stars such as Albert Pujols, Greg Maddux, Justin Morneau and Jake Peavy. Recent Midwest League All-Stars include Prince Fielder, Joe Mauer and Justin Upton.
