Book Review & Signing

The Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a book review and signing at the Community Center Wednesday, September 16 at 10 am and Tuesday, September 22 at 6:15 pm. “Recollection of a Hamburger” is the story of a young German girl growing up in war-torn Hamburg, Germany from 1941-1962. She’s determined to make a better life for herself and reveals how her experiences and memories during World War II shaped her life forever.

Come enjoy a reading from the book by author Christel Behnke Gehlert, and then participate in a round table discussion. The paperback book is available for purchase at the Community Center for $24.95 or you can purchase it the day of the event. The drop-in fee for the event is $1. The Community Center is located at 233 W. Main Street.
