The City of Fort Wayne Street Department is painting All-America City signs on several downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana intersections. More photos after the jump.
These photos were taken at the Clinton and Superior Streets intersection on July 9, 2009.
It is good to see that at least the correct name of the award is on these signs – unlike the mayor’s communications where it becomes “All-American City” rather than the correct “All-America City”. What city budget funded these? Hope it was our mayor’s PR item in the budget, although with 3 PR people in his administration, he may not have anything left.
The “n” on the end is so easy to add. I’ve caught myself a couple of times and wouldn’t be surprised if I don’t have it on here as such.
How much money was spent on this?
Also, terrible job of a traffic setup. I’m very surprised an accident didn’t result from this. The one on Webster and Jefferson was very bad.
My concern would be that they won’t last long which then becomes a question of would hanging signs have been better.
