Fort Wayne is home to a constructed wetlands that helps to reduce flooding in nearby neighborhoods and helps to improve water qaulity. The Camp Scott wetlands collects rain water runoff from streets in several southeast Fort Wayne neighbohoods when it rains. The rain water runoff filters through the wetlands before it is released into the Maumee River.
