Hines sets address date
State of the 6th to be held at Link”s Wonderland

City Councilman Glynn Hines, D-6th will give his State of the 6th District address on Saturday, March 21 at Link’s Wonderland 1711 E. Creighton Avenue. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast served. The address will begin at 10:00 a.m. This will be the councilman’s ninth annual address to his constituents as he re-caps achievements of the past year and looks forward to initiatives and projects set for the new year.

“I’m very excited about the entire event this year because there are so many amazing things that have been happening on the southeast side of the city,” said Hines. “Plus, there are amazing things that will be happening in the future for residents of the 6th District; so, please come prepared to participate in the process where decisions are being made in the southeast quadrant.”

Hines speech will highlight key projects and issues such as Renaissance Point Development, the new YMCA, housing initiatives, WiFi Technology developments and the potential closing of Paul Harding High School.

The event is open to the public.
