Press Release:

TinCaps Ticket Sales Success
Team sells out chairback seats for Opening Day in 27 minutes.
Lawn tickets still available for April 16th inaugural game.

The season of firsts continued for the Fort Wayne TinCaps on Tuesday, February 24th as the team put individual game tickets on-sale for the first time and received an unprecedented response — all fixed seats in the ballpark were sold out in less than a half-hour. “The public interest and support was tremendous,” said TinCaps President, Mike Nutter. “We have sold every fixed seat in Parkview Field, and are pretty close to selling out our lawn area as well. That’s a pretty good day in my book.” The team attributes the success of the first day of ticket sales to the excitement surrounding Parkview Field and the affordability of the ticket options.

The team was very pleased with both the functioning of its new ticket system and the reaction from fans that used it. “We have had a very positive response to our new ticket system,” said Director of Ticketing, Patrick Ventura. “Through our partnership with Streamline Ticketing we have been able to improve customer service, lower convenience fees, and give fans the opportunity to view all of the available seats online and select the precise seats they want..”

Full and partial season ticket packages are still available, as the team has held a number of seat locations for those interested in purchasing ticket plans. “There are still 50 days until the season starts and we anticipate that there are still many people interested in reserving a ticket package for 2009,” said Ventura. “It’s common practice for teams to hold a few locations for season ticket holders until much closer to Opening Day.” Those interested in season ticket options can call the TinCaps at (260) 482-6400.

Additionally, good seats remain available for the other games in the inaugural series at Parkview Field, with games on Friday night, April 17 at 7:05 PM and the afternoons of Saturday, April 18 (at 4:05 PM) and Sunday, April 19th (at 3:05 PM). These and other single game tickets can be purchased by calling the ticket office or by logging on to the TinCaps website at TinCaps.com.

All individual tickets and ticket plans can also be purchased in person at the TinCaps administrative office at Parkview Field. Please contact the team for directions and parking information.
