The leaves along Clinton Street in Headwaters Park are starting their annual color change. Â The leaves end in brilliant deep red before falling from the trees. Â This area is known as the Clinton Parade and or the Avenue of Trees and when the change is in process, it makes for one beautifully colored gateway into downtown. Â This process also signals the start of the changing colors in Headwaters Park proper.
In 2006, the leaves began to change on September 16th while last year, the process started on September 22nd. Â This year, it’s a bit later as seems to be the trend. Â The photos in this post were taken Friday, the 26th. Â Last year, the process went until the end of October with some of the trees not dropping their leaves until mid-November.
