Square Water Feature – Construction Update

A new water feature has been installed in the Harrison Square area.  Located along Brackenridge Street, it ebbs and spurts just like a …. well, a geyser?  Ok, a whimsical post, but it was the first thought that came to mind when I saw the leak in the pipe.  I believe this is a drain pipe that goes around the Square area draining off the water that is pumped out to keep the flooding down.

On a more serious note, a photo set from the Harrison Square project area from January 27, 2008 has been posted here.  The following photo was taken from Webster Street behind the Adair Federal Courthouse, looking West at Ewing Street.

That hill in front of the houses is the concourse which is about 5 feet higher than the street level.  Today, Monday, January 28, 2008, a crane had been moved into the construction area.  Concrete pouring should be started this week.  Stay tuned for further updates!
