The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a shooting in the 600 block of East Lewis Street on August 27, 2024, at 10:04 pm.

FWPD Officer body-cam footage and an update were released on August 21, 2024 by the FWPD.

Fort Wayne City Councilmen Russell Jehl, Nathan Hartman, and Scott Myers publicly discussed their ongoing concerns about the weakening of EMS services being provided to the citizens of Fort Wayne, created by the failure of Allen County and Fort Wayne elected officials to collaborate.

On December 3, 2021, at 2:24 AM, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 700 block of Cumberland Avenue in regards to a person down in a garage.

On November 28, 2021, at 1:06 a.m., the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 7900 block of Decatur Road in reference to a shooting that several witnesses reported.

On November 22, 2021, at 5:27 PM, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to an apartment located in the 5900 block of Bunt Drive in reference to a shooting investigation.

On November 14, 2021, at 8:59 AM, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 800 block of Prospect Avenue in reference to a shooting.
