Parks celebrates success of 2026 Lifetime Sports Academy
Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation wrapped up the 2026 Lifetime Sports Academy Friday at McMillen Park with a day of fun, evaluation and awards of free golf and tennis equipment to participants who pass skills and rules tests.

More than 1,000 young athletes took part in the 27th annual Lifetime Sports Academy this summer at McMillen Park, building skills and confidence through 4,228 free lessons in golf, tennis and swimming.

Today marked the successful completion of the Lifetime Sports Academy's 21st summer with more than 1,000 participants this year and a total of 27,961 participants over the last 21 years.
