The City of Fort Wayne has received the "Outstanding Trail Project Award" from the Greenways Foundation of Indiana.

Mayor Tom Henry today was joined by members of the Parks & Recreation Department, elected officials, and community and neighborhood leaders to applaud the planned improvements the public will see in the City's Parks system.

Students across Fort Wayne Community Schools will be recognized over the next few days for reaching a milestone in their educational careers, whether at elementary, middle or high school.

The City's free splash pads will be turned on Saturday, May 25, with plans to keep them turned on until Labor Day.

On Tuesday, April 30, 2013, the Fort Wayne Police Department, in cooperation with the Fort Wayne Fire Department, and the Department of Natural Resources began to search the area of the St. Joseph River along 6401 St. Joe Road (Shoaff Park) in connection with a missing person investigation.
