Sharon Tucker was sworn in today as the new mayor of the City of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Mayor Henry today announced the “Moving Forward Together” action plan designed to bring the community together following recent protests and demonstrations in Fort Wayne.

Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry today was joined by local religious and community leaders to announce plans for the second annual "Prayers for the City" event.

At the 2013 Indiana NAACP State Convention, the Fort Wayne/Allen County Branch and Youth Council were recognized for exemplary accomplishments.

NAACP extends an invitation to the community-at-large, educators, students, social service organizations, elected officials, businesses, municipal stakeholders to attend the Stop the Violence, Stop the Funerals; Pick Up a Book, Not a Gun March and Rally on Saturday, April 27, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at the corner of Pontiac and South Anthony.
