Deputy Fire Chief Adam O’Connor chooses to return to Engine House

Today, Fort Wayne Fire Department Chief Eric Lahey announced that Deputy Fire Chief Adam O’Connor requested a new assignment--to fill the position of Captain at Fire Station 1.

On March 27, 2024, at 1659 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to the 5000 block of Roberta Drive for a possible structure fire in a residence when neighbors called 9-1-1 to report smoke.
