The TinCaps salvaged a split in their four-game series against the Lake County Captains with a 7-4 win at Classic Park on a warm and muggy Monday night.

On a pristine Sunday afternoon in Classic Park, Fort Wayne took an early lead against the Lake County Captains, only to see it disappear as they lost their second straight contest.

Three costly errors proved the difference for the Fort Wayne TinCaps Saturday night as they were defeated, 3-2, by the Lake County Captains at Classic Park.

In the opening match of a four-game series between the TinCaps and the Lake County Captains, Fort Wayne proved its resolve to win a one-run game, edging the Captains by a 4-3 final Friday night.

Despite a 6-0 lead after the first three innings of Thursday night's game, the Fort Wayne TinCaps could not hang on and lost, 7-6, to the Bowling Green Hot Rods.

The TinCaps avenged a 3-2 loss to the Bowling Green Hot Rods the previous night with a 3-0 victory on Wednesday at Parkview Field.

Parkview Field will play host to a free community event on Memorial Day - Monday, May 27th. Beginning at 6:00pm, the ballpark will be the venue for a very special screening of Honor Flight, a documentary that follows the emotional journey of a group of World War II veterans that make the life-changing trip to Washington D.C. to view the World War II Memorial.

Through six innings Monday night, Dayton's Robert Stephenson looked nearly unhittable.
