FWPD Gang and Violent Crimes Unit

On March 14, 2025, at 0950 hours, the FWPD Gang and Violent Crimes Unit and FWPD Emergency Services Team executed a search warrant in the 2300 block of Warsaw Street.

On March 2, 2025, the FWPD's Gang and Violent Crimes Unit began a follow-up investigation for a battery that occurred the previous night which was discovered to be gang related.

On December 20, 2024, at 06:57 hours. the FWPD's Vice and Narcotics Division along with the Emergency Services Team, and the Gang and Violent Crimes Unit served a search warrant at 712 Russell Avenue in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

At 14:45 hours, the FWPD's Gang and Violent Crime Unit received a tip that a Dominique Mack who is wanted in Michigan for suspected murder and home invasion crimes in the state of Michigan was in Fort Wayne.

On November 13, 2024, Tommy Harris Jr. was taken into custody without incident in the 4400 block of Lillie Street on a warrant for Felony Murder and Burglary in connection to the cold case homicide of Larry Lovelace Jr. that took place on June 27, 2001.

On January 11, 2024, the FWPD arrested Terrance Sanders, Jr. and Christopher Recht in connection with the homicide of Ayvion Parker on September 12, 2023, in the 1800 block of Fox Point Trail.

On June 21st, 2021, at 9:43 pm, the Fort Wayne Police Department's Violent Crimes and Gang Unit attempted to stop a vehicle around Fry and West Main Streets.

On March 3, 2017 the Fort Wayne Police Gang and Violent Crimes Unit served a search warrant at 1900 block of Drexel Avenue.

On March 11, 2016, at 16:42, the Fort Wayne Police Department served a search warrant in the 3000 block of Holton Avenue.

The FWPD Gang and Violent Crimes Unit has made an arrest in the shooting that took place Monday, January 11th in the 3300 block of Alexander Street.
