Garbage collection cancelled today
Due to the large amount of snow that fell overnight, there will be no garbage and recycling collection today.

City officials report that crews will finish the first pass of the annual leaf collection by the end of this week and then begin their second pass.
City Utilities moves forward with pipe repair under Lima Road
As INDOT worked to reconstruct the Lima Road (US 27), Fort Wayne City Utilities discovered a broken sewer pipe that needs replaced.
City update on Red River situation
Today, the City of Fort Wayne Board of Public Works approved a resolution that allows for the City to seek bids for a new garbage and recycling hauler once an agreement with Red River is reached in bankruptcy court.
Only City Trash, Recycling Carts to be Picked Up
Beginning Monday, March 23, garbage and recycling crews will collect only City of Fort Wayne-issued carts used for residential collection.
Tox-Away Saturday – 11/14/2020
The City’s Solid Waste Department, along with the Allen County Department of Environmental Management, will offer another Tox-Away Day on November 14, 2020.
Pontiac Street-Wayne Trace roundabouts closed beginning Monday – 7/19/2021
Beginning Monday, July 19, 2021, the roundabouts at Pontiac Street and Wayne Trace will be closed due to the Pontiac Street Roundabout Improvement Project.
