Allen County and the City of Fort Wayne are pleased to announce they have entered into an agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for a Planning Assistance Study to provide a new Stormwater Master Plan.

Acting Mayor Karl Bandemer joined residents of the Rolling Hills neighborhood, City Council members and City Utilities staff to announce more than $130 million in water, sewer and stormwater improvements for this year that will strengthen neighborhoods.

A section of East Wayne Street between Glasgow Avenue and South Anthony Boulevard will close on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 7:30 a.m.

A small portion of Lake Avenue has lane restrictions for a Trail Project so the stormwater detour will use State Boulevard.

To make stormwater improvements in the North Anthony Area neighborhood, lane restrictions and a road closure will begin on Monday, April 18, 2022, on North Anthony Boulevard between Berry Street and Lake Avenue.

A reminder from Fort Wayne City Utilities to take precautions to protect water pipes and water meters from freezing during this cold snap.

The impending winter storm has closed City offices for the next two days but, the City Utilities call center will remain open during regular business hours this week.

This afternoon, neighborhood residents and city officials joined Deputy Mayor Karl Bandemer to celebrate the completion of the Hessen Cassel Road Phase 2 stormwater and sidewalk improvement.

This week, in preparation for winter, City Utilities will make the annual adjustments to lower the river levels by raising the Tainter gate at the Hosey Dam.
