  • The shooting of Mr. Alfred Woods happened on July 30, 2004. Mr. Woods died from complications on February 15, 2024. The location of the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries was not listed. We have listed his death as inside the City limits, with a zip code of 46802.
  • The homicide of Mr. Rex D. Michel, a local nursing home resident, was the result of injuries sustained in the nursing home, the date of which was not released. He had been transferred to a local, unspecified hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on May 26, 2024. We have listed his death as inside the City limits, with a zip code of 46802.
  • Originally, the discovery of the bodies of homicide victims Matthew Joseph Johnson and Christina Michelle Dixon on September 23, 2024, led to their being included in the Allen County Homicide stats. However, in a news release dated November 18, 2024, the Allen County Coroner stated since they’d been killed elsewhere and dumped in Fort Wayne, they weren’t officially Allen County homicides and were removed from the official count.
