Clarification of TinCaps Playoff Schedule
Midwest League Playoff schedule becomes (somewhat) more clear
The first round of the Midwest League Playoffs is set to begin with the Fort Wayne TinCaps on the road for Game #1 on Wednesday, September 9th. The team would then return to Fort Wayne for Game #2 of the series on Thursday, September 10th with first pitch at 7:05pm. The TinCaps announced today that they have added a post-game fireworks show for this game as well as continuing the successful Thirsty Thursday promotion, which includes $1.00 beer specials, for this Thursday playoff game. If a Game #3 is necessary, it would take place at Parkview Field on Friday, September 11th beginning at 7:05pm.
The TinCaps have clinched the best overall record in the league, so they would have home field advantage in the second round. If the TinCaps advance and face any team other than West Michigan,they would play on the road for the first game (Saturday, September 12th) and then home for the second game on Sunday, September 13th at 5:05pm with a possible third game at Parkview Field on Monday, September 14th at 7:05pm. West Michigan has a scheduling conflict at Fifth Third Field in Comstock Park, Michigan on Saturday, September 12th, so the first game of the series would be played in Fort Wayne instead. Game #2 of the 2nd round would be at West Michigan, with game 3 back in Fort Wayne if necessary. (See attached table for more information on possible Fort Wayne home dates.)
The Championship round locations are already determined, with the Western Division having home field advantage. Games #1 and #2 will be at the Eastern Division winner’s home ballpark, with games #3-5 (the series is a best out of five game series) being at the Western Division’s home site.

Tickets for a potential Game #3 are also available for purchase. Special ticket rates, for groups of 20 or more, are available for the Midwest League Playoffs.
