The Palace Restaurant has been purchased for $2.4 million. The land will be used in the Harrison Square development.  City officials state they will actually save almost $1.5 million on the construction of the parking garage. The reason: instead of having to protect the Palace during construction and instead of having to build the garage around the restaurant, it will be built in a rectangle.
