Critical Injury Single Motorcycle Accident

Details:
On 5/19/2016 at approximately 9:17 PM Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a call of a party injured motorcycle accident at 1200 West Main Street. Upon arrival Officer located an unresponsive adult male subject laying in the roadway. The subject was transported to a local hospital by the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority in critical condition.
Preliminary witness information indicates that the subject was driving East on Main Street with a group of other motorcyclists. The subject lost control of his motorcycle and laid it down around Mechanic Street. No other vehicles or people where involved or injured. It is unknown at this time if alcohol or speed were contributing factors in the accident. The subject was not wearing a helmet.
Main Street was closed from Center Street to Mechanic Street while the scene was being processed. The Fatal Accident Crash Team made the scene and took over the investigation. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and Allen County Prosecutors Office.
