News release from the Fort Wayne Police Department:

Meth Lab Bust

On the 5th of May at approximately 7:00 p.m. members of the Fort Wayne Meth Suppression Team and the Indiana State Police were following up on a tip in the 3300 block of Merrimack Place. When the officers arrived they observed precursors used to manufacture Methamphetamine in plain view and requested a warrant. Once the warrant had been granted a search revealed 2 active Meth Labs, Methamphetamine, Methamphetamine precursors, Paraphernalia and other narcotics.

The only occupant of the dwelling was charged with the following:

John Robert Hapner III age 36

  1. Manufacturing Methamphetamine Level 5
  2. Possession of Methamphetamine Level 6
  3. Possession of a Narcotic Drug Level 6
  4. Possession of two or more Chemical Precursors Level 6

This is the 30th Meth Lab processed by the Fort Wayne Police Department Meth Suppression Team in 2016.
