Embassy video revisits the creation of the Vision for the Embassy renovation project
(November 16, 2015) – A new video that focuses on the development and execution of the Vision for the Embassy project is being released by the Embassy Theatre as part of its documentation and communications plan for the construction project.
“Composing the Vision” features Bob Nickerson, Embassy Foundation founding member, discussing the decision to purchase the hotel with the theater in 1974 and. Carolyn Brody, co-chair of the Vision capital campaign, talking about community support. Chris Gomez, Embassy board president, addresses the future of the Embassy Theatre and impact of the renovation. Kelly Updike, Embassy executive director; Larry Weigand, president of Weigand Construction, and Dan O’Connell from Visit Fort Wayne are also featured in the video.
This is the third video in a series recording the historic renovation project, which began the summer of 2014 in the former Indiana Hotel and will be completed in early spring 2016.
The Embassy contracted with Punch Films for this work and the videos are sponsored by Weigand Construction, which also is the construction firm for the Vision project. There are two videos currently available for viewing online that document working in a historic facility and the challenges of working in a busy facility.
