News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
Michael’s Beauty Supply fire, 3309 East State Boulevard
(July 10, 2015) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a fire of undetermined origin at Michael’s Beauty Supply located at 3309 East State Boulevard, early this morning. The fire was discovered when smoke was seen coming from the roof of the building.
The fire did minimal damage to the structure but heat and heavy smoke damage was reported to all 3 businesses in the building. The smoke extended to Big Ricks BBQ just west and to Pearl’s Palace just east of the involved business. All 3 businesses will be closed pending inspection from the Board of Health.
