2009 TRF: Pop Evil to perform

Fort Wayne Newspapers Three Rivers Festival is excited to announce that Pop Evil, presented by WBYR, 98.9 The Bear, will play at the Three Rivers Festival Event Pavilion on Tuesday during the 41st Three Rivers Festival.

Hailed as “the Best Thing to Come Out of Michigan since the Automobile,” Grand Rapids-based Pop Evil was named as one of iTunes “Top New Artists of ’08,” with songs such as “Somebody Like You” and “100 In a 55.”

Opening for Pop Evil will be a showcase of previous Whatzup “Battle of the Bands” champions: The Orange Opera, The B-Sharps, Unlikely Alibi and Definitely Gary.

The Tuesday, July 14th, concert at the Three Rivers Festival Event Pavilion in Headwaters Park will be open to all ages. Gates will open at 6PM.

General Admission Tickets for the concert will be $8 at the door, or $5 with a Festival button.
