Mad Ants and Lutheran Health Network Present Get Fit Challenge
(February 17, 2015) – The Fort Wayne Mad Ants have partnered with Lutheran Health Network, Indiana Organ Procurement Organization (IOPO), DeKalb Health and McDonald’s to challenge fans to get fit and increase their physical activity as part of the GET FIT CHALLENGE for the remainder of the 2014-2015 regular season.
The Mad Ants Get Fit Challenge is a program that encourages children, their parents and their teachers to lead active and healthy lifestyles through a fun and challenging fitness regimen. Participants will keep track of their physical activities for 30 days; all children who complete 30 minutes a day of physical activity outside of school for those 30 days will receive a FREE ticket to the Mad Ants basketball game on Saturday, April 4th vs. Sioux Falls Skyforce at 7:30 p.m. for Get FIT Night. To receive this free ticket, finalized activity logs must be completed and turned into the Memorial Coliseum Ticket Office in person.
If any schools are interested in having their entire student body participate, please contact the Mad Ants to get a bulk supply of activity logs. IOPO will donate a $1,000 prize to the school with the highest completion percentage to be used toward fitness, athletic, or health education equipment.
All interested participants can go on to our website (www.fortwaynehoops.com) and find the flyer with more information and the activity log sheet needed to keep track of the 30 day fitness totals.
