Today’s weather story from the National Weather Service:

Hang on tight!

(November 28, 2014) – Hop on the roller coaster of temperatures for the next 5 days and hang on tight.

A weak system will pass by to the northeast of the region with cloudy skies and cold temperatures today as highs struggle to reach 30 degrees. Dramatically warmer conditions will arrive for Saturday as temperatures go from well below normal to above normal with readings topping out in the middle 40s to around 50.

By far, the warmest day will be Sunday when highs will range from the upper 40s near the lake to the upper 50s. A few locations may see 60!! With the warmth will come a chance of showers and an increase in clouds.

A cold front will move through Sunday night and send temperatures plummeting once again with highs into the upper 20s near the lake to around 40 in the southeast.

Highs on Tuesday will steady out for the area, reaching the lower to middle 30s.
