Women’s Bureau 7th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®
(September 15, 2014) – The Women’s Bureau is proud to announce the 7th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event will take place on September 20, 2014 at Headwaters Park West. This annual, international men’s march is about much more than just high-heeled shoes. It is an opportunity to raise community awareness and to get people talking in a safe environment about sexual assault and gender-based violence. The walk is open to everyone – men, women and children – with or without heels.
Who: The Women’s Bureau along with sponsors of the event which include: Sweetwater Sound, Verizon Wireless, Frontier Communications, PHP, PNC, Norfolk Southern, Indiana’s NewsCenter, WBOI, Glo Magazine, One Lucky Guitar and JH Specialty.
When: Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 10:00 am. Registration for the event begins at 8:00 am.
