A WARM FRONT LIFTING INTO THE REGION TODAY WILL DRAW ABUNDANT LOW LEVEL MOISTURE NORTHWARD. THIS INCREASED MOISTURE WILL COMBINE WITH A SERIES OF UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES AND COLD FRONTAL BOUNDARY TO PRODUCE THE POTENTIAL OF SOME LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL…MAINLY THIS AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING.

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHERN INDIANA AND NORTHWEST OHIO…INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS…IN NORTHERN INDIANA…ADAMS…ALLEN IN…BLACKFORD…CASS IN…DE KALB… GRANT…HUNTINGTON…JAY…LAGRANGE…MIAMI…NOBLE…STEUBEN…WABASH…WELLS AND WHITLEY. IN NORTHWEST OHIO… ALLEN OH…DEFIANCE…FULTON OH…HENRY…PAULDING…PUTNAM…VAN WERT AND WILLIAMS.

* FROM 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH THIS EVENING

* SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL OVERSPREAD THE REGION THIS MORNING THROUGH MIDDAY…AND MAY BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES FROM EARLY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE EVENING. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE AREA…WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS IN THE HEAVIER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN EXCESS OF 4 INCHES POSSIBLE.

* FLASH FLOODING MAY CAUSE ROADS TO BE CLOSED AND IMPASSABLE. RISES ON AREA RIVERS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE.
