Michele Platte Named Marketing & Media Coordinator at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum
(May 28, 2014) – Michele Platte will be joining the staff of the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, effective June 9, as Marketing & Media Coordinator.
Platte comes to Memorial Coliseum after three years as a Marketing and Customer Service Specialist for the Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority. For the airport authority, which includes Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA) and Smith Field Airport, Platte helped develop and execute airport marketing campaigns and promotional events. She also oversaw the Volunteer Hospitality Host program at FWA, known locally for providing cookies to arriving travelers.
Prior to her time with the airport authority, Platte worked in the wholesale and retail fashion industries. She is a native of Fort Wayne, a graduate of South Side High School and a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Art. She is locally active in the Junior League of Fort Wayne and is a 2013 graduate of the Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana Leadership Institute.
Platte’s role at the Memorial Coliseum will include leading efforts in facility and event marketing and promotions, digital and social marketing and media relations.
