Visit Fort Wayne Honored with “Best Supplier Website” Award at 12th Annual ISAE Star Awards
(December 19, 2013) – As a reward for the redesign and promotion of its meeting professionals website, Visit Fort Wayne was honored with the “Best Supplier Website” award at the 12th Annual Star Awards Ceremony hosted by the Indiana Society of Association Executives (ISAE) in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 12, 2013.
Visit Fort Wayne earned the award after months of recreating, restructuring and remarketing its webpage dedicated to meeting planners. The new webpage features an abundance of information, resources and tools geared to help educate prospective planners on why Fort Wayne is a prime location for their meeting.
“We started from scratch in recreating the meetings page,” said Visit Fort Wayne Marketing and Communications Specialist John Felts. “From the reasons why meeting planners should consider Fort Wayne to new design features and everything in between – we developed a vibrant page that offers tons of useful information on why Fort Wayne is a great destination for conventions, conferences and trade shows.”
In 2013, Fort Wayne hosted 25 national meetings and sporting events, making it a banner year for the city. The surge in prestigious and large events is due to new facilities, a booming downtown, a prime Midwest location and affordable venue rates. These factors have made Fort Wayne a strong competitor in the meetings world.
The annual ISAE Star Awards event is designed to celebrate the accomplishments of the association industry and the individuals who help make the industry in Indiana a success.
