Downtown Riverfronts: Interests and Issues regarding our Rivers
Join us on Wednesday, October 16 from 12pm-1pm at the Historic Wells Street Bridge for an informative lunchtime edition of the the Downtown Business Club.
Dan Wire, with the Tri-State Watershed Alliance, will be present on the many organizations involved in local river initiatives and several communities in our region looking to follow Fort Wayne’s example with plans to develop their downtown rivers.
After the presentation there will be a facilitator and recorders to elicit and record comments from the attendees about what they would like to see “happen” along their rivers.
The input given at these sessions will be included in a wrap up report from the Tri-State Watershed Alliance focused on individual downtowns and a regional view of better utilizing our rivers. TSWA also wants to provide an opportunity for participants to share ideas that might be outside the 2.5 miles of the St. Mary’s Rivers targeted by the Legacy Fort Wayne Downtown Riverfront Study.
Lunch, chairs and heated tents will be provided so be sure to RSVP for this great lunchtime presentation today!
