Fall 2013 “County Night Out” Locations Announced
Woodburn, Georgetown Square & Aboite Township to host events

(August 19, 2013) — Allen County government will visit Woodburn, Fort Wayne’s Georgetown neighborhood and Aboite Township during this fall’s “County Night Out” events, the Allen County Commissioners’ office announced today.

The City of Woodburn and the Woodburn Chamber of Commerce will host the first “County Night Out” meeting on Tuesday, September 10, at the Woodburn Community Center located at 22735 Main Street.

The second meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 1, at the Georgetown branch of the Allen County Public Library, 6600 East State Boulevard. The Georgetown Square Shopping Center is helping coordinate the event.

The final “County Night Out” meeting is set for Thursday, October 17, at the Aboite Township Community Center at 11321 Aboite Center Road, with the help of the Aboite Township Trustee’s office and the Aboite Township Fire Department.
All three meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and end by 8:00 p.m.

“County Night Out” features an open-house format designed to allow citizens the opportunity to meet the Commissioners and other elected officeholders face-to-face and get information about programs and services offered by various County departments. Among the County departments and elected officeholders which will be represented at the meetings are the Parks Department, Highway Department, NIRCC, Human Resources, the Department of Planning Services, Building Department, the Fort Wayne-Allen County Health Department, Solid Waste Management District, County Extension Service, Election Board, Sheriff, Recorder and Assessor.
