FWPD: Homicide Investigation Update
Incident Date/Time: April 3, 2013 / 12:32
Incident Location: 900 Hugh Street
Victim: Elijah O. Freeman, age 17, Fort Wayne
(April 6, 2013) – An arrest has been made in connection with the shooting death of Elijah O. Freeman. Late yesterday evening, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Gang Unit located Deadrian C. Boykins, age 18, of Fort Wayne, and took him into custody without incident. He was transported to the Allen County Jail on a preliminary charge of Aggravated Battery.
This incident remains under investigation with the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office. There is nothing further at this time.
