The Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society’s NKP 765 steam locomotive left Fort Wayne for a test run to Muncie, Indiana, in anticipation of her many Norfolk Southern Railroad excursions scheduled for this summer.
The 765 is a restored Berkshire 2-8-4 (Not a 2-8-0 as typed earlier, a simple mistake realized shortly after this was posted, but without a way to correct as the webmaster was out chasing.) steam locomotive owned and operated by the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society. Behind the 765 is NS Heritage unit 8100 in Nickel Plate colors. The 8100 is a General Electric Evolution Series ES44AC 4400HP locomotive.
The photos and video were shot at the Brooklyn Avenue crossing in Fort Wayne Indiana.
