News release from the Community Harvest Food Bank:
Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana Holiday Hours
(November 14, 2011) – So that our staff can celebrate the holidays with their families, CHFB will be closed (including all Farm Wagon distributions and the Saturday morning food distribution “Helping Hands Program”) on the following days: November 24th and 25th. We will resume regular operations beginning Monday, November 28th at 7:30am.
WEATHER CANCELLATION GUIDELINES FOR THE FARM WAGON
There will be no Farm Wagon deliveries if the following weather condition(s) occurs:
- The outdoor temperature (actual or with the wind chill factor) at 7:30AM in Fort Wayne is 10 degrees F or less
- There is a declared snow or ice emergency in the city or county of the Farm Wagon delivery location
- There is a declared snow or ice emergency in Fort Wayne or Allen County.
If any of the situations above exists at 7:30AM, the Farm Wagon deliveries in the affected area(s) will not occur that day. CHFB will make every attempt to have the cancellation of the Farm Wagon announced on all media outlets.
