Hughes Raises Over Half-a-Million Dollars Since April
Vows to Have the Resources Necessary to Get Her Message out to Voters

Former Allen County Council President and Republican nominee for Mayor Paula Hughes turned in her campaign finance report today at the Allen County Election Board. The report shows that she raised $557,382.79 this reporting period. Of that, over 76% of those funds have come from donors in Fort Wayne and Allen County.

“This report continues to show the strong support we have among the people here at home,” Paula Hughes said. “It is humbling to be the recipient of so much support from those who know me best, the people right here in Fort Wayne. It’s clear that they are committed to seeing new leadership at City Hall.”

The Hughes for Mayor campaign largest donor this year is the Northeast Indiana PAC for Good Government (NIPAC). The NIPAC board is comprised of area businessmen who care deeply about having a vibrant economy and strong job market in Fort Wayne.

“The Northeast Indiana PAC for Good Government is supporting Paula Hughes because she is the only candidate that we can trust to cut Fort Wayne’s wasteful spending, reduce the city’s half-a-billion debt and get Fort Wayne working again,” said NIPAC Chairman Don McArdle.

Since entering the race in 2009, Paula Hughes has raised $843,874.94 from 814 unique donors. 83% of those dollars have come from Fort Wayne and Allen County.

Hughes concluded by saying, “I am honored by the outpouring of support that is overwhelmingly from local donors. It continues to prove that many people in Fort Wayne want tosee our great city back on track.”

  1. Anything from the Henry group – or are they exempt from reporting? I’m interested in what percent of his funds come from “out-of-town” consultants, Chicago political action leagues, local contractors (or at least those who have tapped the public till in the last 3-1/2 years).
