A free lunch will be provided today for firefighters, police officers and EMS responders in the Fort Wayne area.
The event is from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Law Enforcement/Firefighters Memorial located at 1000 North Wells Street.
The meal is sponsored by local Dignity Memorial providers who operate a number of funeral homes, memorial parks and cemeteries in the Fort Wayne area. The meal is to be provided by The Fun 101.7 WLDE Weenie Wagon.
Organizers are also encouraging people to personally thank, honk or wave when they see an emergency response person Wednesday, to show appreciation for their dedication of time and effort.
Again, the free meal is only for firefighters, police officers and EMS responders from the Fort Wayne area.
