Free USF lecture to focus on consciousness
(March 11, 2011) – The University of Saint Francis School of Arts and Sciences and Department of Philosophy and Theology will host a free public lecture on Sunday, March 27 at 3 p.m. in Gunderson Auditorium, Achatz Hall.
USF professor Dr. Earl Kumfer will present “Consciousness: Part II,” in which he will consider views on emergent consciousness in the writings of scholar-philosophers John Searle and Philip Clayton, and present-day Pope John Paul II (Karol Wojtyla) as a means of bridging the mind-body gap.
