726 AM EST WED DEC 22 2010…FREEZING DRIZZLE AND LIGHT SNOW THIS MORNING…
.A COMBINATION OF LIGHT FREEZING DRIZZLE…FREEZING FOG AND LIGHT SNOW WILL CREATE HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS THIS MORNING. A LIGHT GLAZE OF ICE IS EXPECTED ON MANY SURFACES INCLUDING UNTREATED ROADS AND SIDEWALKS. LIGHT SNOW MAY MIX WITH THE FREEZING DRIZZLE THIS MORNING. ONLY A FEW TENTHS OF AN INCH OF SNOW ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED.

* MAIN IMPACT…UNTREATED ROADS…BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES WILL BE VERY SLICK WITH A GLAZE OF ICE. IT MAY BE DIFFICULT TO STOP A VEHICLE QUICKLY SO USE EXTREME CAUTION. SIDEWALKS WILL ALSO BE VERY SLIPPERY.

AREAS OF FOG…LOCALLY DENSE…WILL PERSIST THROUGH 8 AM EST. PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL ACCOMPANY THE DENSER AREAS OF FOG…CAUSING SOME SLICK SPOTS ON UNTREATED ROADS. SOME LOCATIONS MAY ALSO SEE SLICK SPOTS ON SURFACES WHERE RECENT SNOW MELT HAS REFROZEN AS TEMPERATURES HOVER IN THE UPPER 20S TO AROUND 30. MOTORISTS SHOULD EXERCISE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING THIS MORNING.
