O’Day Road to close as part of ongoing U.S. 30 construction project
Allen County, Indiana (September 24, 2026) – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the closure of O’Day Road as part of the ongoing U.S. 30 Corridor Improvements project.
Starting on or after October 1, crews will close O’Day Road between Washington Center Road and Leesburg Road for overpass construction. Work on the project is expected to be complete in late spring of 2027. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
During construction, O’Day Road traffic should use the official detour of Washington Center Road, Kroemer Road and Leesburg Road, or seek an alternate route. U.S. 30 will have closed shoulders in both directions between Stahlhut and Flaugh roads and traffic will not be able to turn from U.S. 30 onto O’Day Road.
INDOT encourages drivers to consider safety for all by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones.
