Brittney Long appointed as Indiana Public Access Counselor

Today, Indiana Governor Mike Braun announced the appointment of Brittney Long as Public Access Counselor, effective October 5, 2026.

Governor Braun Appoints Brittney Long Public Access Counselor

Indianapolis, Indiana (October 2, 2026) – Indiana Governor Mike Braun today announced the appointment of Brittney Long as Public Access Counselor (PAC), effective Oct. 5, 2026.

“Brittney has the legal credentials and passion for public service that makes her an excellent fit for the job,” said Gov. Braun. “As our next PAC, Brittney will bring added transparency and accountability to our state.”

Long is an attorney with over a decade of legal experience, most recently serving as Deputy General Counsel for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Prior to that role, she served as a magistrate judge for the Bartholomew County Circuit Court from 2022 until 2026 and was an attorney at an Indianapolis law firm from 2014 until 2022.
