
Following a three-day jury trial, Markevius Click was convicted Thursday of Murder and a Firearm Enhancement for the shooting death of Jabari Casey.

Jury Finds Markevius Click Guilty of Murder and Firearm Enhancement
Fort Wayne, Indiana (October 1, 2026) – Following a three-day jury trial, Markevius Click was convicted Thursday of Murder and a Firearm Enhancement for the shooting death of Jabari Casey.
The case involved the October 4, 2025, shooting of Casey. Casey was transported for medical treatment after being shot and died from his injuries one week later, on October 11.
The jury heard testimony and reviewed evidence related to the shooting before beginning deliberations Thursday morning. Approximately 45 minutes later, the jury returned guilty verdicts.
The investigation was led by the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Homicide Division.
The Allen County Prosecutor’s Office appreciates the work of the officers and investigators who handled the investigation and assisted in bringing the case before the court.
The case was tried by Deputy Prosecutors Rachel Gschwend and Rebecca Grove.
The Prosecutor’s Office extends its condolences to Jabari Casey’s family and friends and thanks the members of the jury for their service throughout the trial.Click is scheduled to be sentenced on November 16, 2026.
