Allen County Prosecutor: Charles Calvert found guilty of Murder

An Allen Superior Court jury has found Charles Calvert guilty of Murder in connection with the February 3, 2024, death of Marcia Linsky.

Jury finds Charles Calvert guilty of Murder in death of Marcia Linsky

Fort Wayne, Indiana (October 1, 2026) – An Allen Superior Court jury has found Charles Calvert guilty of Murder in connection with the February 3, 2024, death of Marcia Linsky.

The three-and-a-half-day trial began Monday, September 28, and concluded today with the jury reaching its verdict after approximately 30 minutes of deliberation.

The Allen County Prosecutor’s Office thanks the jurors for their time, attention, and careful consideration of the evidence presented during the trial. We also extend our appreciation to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, Detective Gabe Furnish, and the officers and other investigators involved in this case for their thorough investigation and dedicated work.
The case was tried by Chief Counsel Tesa Helge and Chief Deputy Thomas Chaille.

Today’s verdict cannot undo the tremendous loss suffered by Marcia’s family, friends, and colleagues. Marcia Linsky’s death was a profound loss to her family and to the legal community in Allen County. Her career as a prosecutor, magistrate, and public defender touched countless lives, and she was a respected and valued member of our local justice system.

We hope today’s verdict provides some measure of closure to those who loved Marcia and continue to mourn her loss. Her contributions to the Allen County legal community will not be forgotten.

Sentencing is scheduled for October 28, 2026, at 10:30 a.m.
