On September 20, 2026, at 1719 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to an apartment fire at the Memorial Park Estates in the 2000 block of Maumee Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1719 hours
On Scene: 1724 hours
Under Control: 1740 hours
Firefighters arrived on the scene and found light smoke coming out of the second-floor apartment building. The sprinkler system had kept the fire under control but there was heavy water damage throughout the building.
Medical care was provided to one person who was transported to the hospital.
The conditions of the building caused it to be condemned by the Allen County Building Department.
