The orchestra will be led by Alastair Willis on the conductor’s podium, who is serving as Artistic Advisor for the next two seasons. The Masterworks 8 series of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic showcases the best in symphonic music and has seen an 18% increase in sales this season. We look forward to welcoming the nearly 750 music lovers currently holding tickets and hope to bring in a few more over the next two days.“ This concert is the first of the season to incorporate the Sweetwater Sound Pass pricing level of $20 tickets, and nearly 200 community members have taken advantage of this new price for this concert alone. This new level represents a 39% discount in the lowest price tier from last season.
“Music has the power to bring people together, inspire us and create experiences that stay with us for a lifetime,” said Brittany Hall, President and CEO of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic. “We want more people in our community to have the opportunity to experience the Philharmonic, and the Sweetwater Sound Pass helps remove one of the biggest barriers to attendance: the cost of a ticket. We are incredibly grateful to Sweetwater for helping us open our doors wider and invite more of our community into the concert hall.”
To celebrate the Opening of the 83rd Season, a reception will be hosted at the new FW Phil Center downtown Fort Wayne at 826 Ewing Street.
