Fort Wayne Police officers responded to the 3900 block of Robinwood Drive after a report of a battery. When officers arrived, they spoke with an adult woman who had visible injuries. She told officers the battery occurred inside the home and that the suspect, Adonis Robinson, was still inside and armed with a gun. Three Rivers Ambulance Authority transported the woman to a hospital for treatment.
Officers attempted to persuade Robinson to leave the home, using both telephone calls and a loudspeaker. After receiving no response from anyone inside, officers called the Emergency Services Team, Crisis Response Team and Air Support Unit to assist with efforts to de-escalate the situation.
Crisis Response Team Officers eventually established communication with the occupants. Robinson and another adult man exited the home, and Emergency Services Team members detained them.
Officers arrested Robinson on the charges listed. The other man was not charged and was released.
